The Curriculum


To maintain high expectations and raise achievement for pupils with ASC we need to facilitate the development of:

  • Communication Skills
  • Social Interaction Skills
  • Flexibility of Thought and Behaviour


And to reduce:

  • Sensory Issues


Development in these areas are a prerequisite to curriculum access. The school is developing an innovative ASC curriculum .Whilst allowing the pupils access to a broad and balanced curriculum, it has been customised to meet the needs of children with ASC.  Using the curriculum as our context the areas outlined above are prioritised and this is evidenced and highlighted in the planning. As a result the children benefit from a curriculum that is relevant to their needs and promotes achievement.
