Introduction

Broomfield SILC is an all-age generic special school situated in Belle Isle in South Leeds.

The Broomfield SILC site provides primary, secondary, post-16 and autistic provision to pupils aged between 2 and 19. There are also two partnership sites in local secondary and primary schools. A new building completed in Summer 2015 increases capacity and provides an exciting new state of the art learning environment.

The school provides a caring and stimulating environment in which all pupils can reach their potential and feel happy, safe and secure.

Much of the school's success comes from the recruitment of staff who support and share the school vision and mission statement of 'Investing in individuals, Transforming lives'.

Broomfield SILC is committed to recruiting staff who have the skills to work effectively with a wide range of pupils, and welcomes applications from suitably experienced and qualified people.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The details of the DBS Code of Conduct can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dbs-code-of-practice

Employment is conditional on confirmation of the right to work in the UK  – either as a UK or Irish citizen, under the EU Settlement scheme or having secured any other relevant work visa.
