As part of celebrating Polish week we held a multi-sensory afternoon in the hall. The children were able to make flags using sensory materials and created and decorated Gwiazdy (polish cutting art). The children also used maps to find Poland and England then put string between them to see how far away they are. The pupils also participated in traditional Polish playground games including Klasy which is a bit like hopscotch and ZOŚKA which involves passing a bean bag between 4 people, stood on a x without using your hands. We also had a range of Polish foods to taste sent in by one of our parents, this table was very popular – thank you very much. During the afternoon one of our pupils visited different classes to give a speech about his native country Poland.
